Why Stay Here

The Madrona's balcony rooms face west across working vineyards, while the hotel's private bungalows scatter through the gardens far enough from the manor that afternoon naps go uninterrupted. Both dogs and children are welcome on the property, and the kitchen runs all day, so dinner reservations feel optional rather than obligatory.

  • Balcony rooms overlook working vineyards to the west
  • Private bungalows separated from the manor by gardens and pathways
  • Two Michelin Keys awarded in 2024 and 2025
  • Art collection curated by Dolby Chadwick Gallery, most pieces for sale
  • All-day kitchen service rather than fixed meal times

The Experience

Guests spend the first hour walking the grounds before unpacking, and the manor's hallways invite browsing even after check-in. The kitchen sends out plates all day rather than confining service to set mealtimes, and the porch fills at dusk with the scent of whatever's been roasting or braising inside. Dogs and kids both have room to roam, and bungalow guests can disappear for the afternoon without passing through the manor at all.

The Setting

The Madrona setting

The Victorian manor anchors eight acres of gardens, pathways, and bungalow cottages along Westside Road, about ten minutes west of Healdsburg Plaza. Woodwork throughout the manor dates back more than a century, and the front porch spans the length of the building. The property received Two Michelin Keys in both 2024 and 2025. The Madrona houses a rotating art collection curated by Dolby Chadwick Gallery, with most pieces available for purchase.
