HotelThe Bungalows at Calistoga
Three standalone craftsman bungalows on Wappo Avenue, each with a private porch and fireplace.

Vinarosa Resort & Spa sits alongside a creek that runs through the property, audible from most of the balconies and outdoor treatment areas. The spa uses crushed Napa cabernet grapes in body scrubs and Calistoga mud in wraps, and the lavender planted near the walkways ends up in evening pillow sachets. Guests tend to linger outdoors longer than they plan.
Mornings start with coffee delivered to balconies on request, and most guests head to the spa before checkout. The grape seed body scrub uses local cabernet skins, and the Calistoga mud wrap is scheduled in sixty- or ninety-minute blocks. Dogs sleep on provided beds in guest rooms, and kids use the heated pool year-round. Dinner isn't served on-site, but the front desk keeps a list of restaurants in Santa Rosa that take same-day reservations.

The resort spreads across several low-slung buildings in Santa Rosa, bordered by eucalyptus trees and a year-round creek that cuts through the western edge of the grounds. Lavender beds line the pathways between guest rooms and the main spa building. The outdoor pool sits close to the creek, separated by a stand of native oaks, and lounge chairs face west toward the ridge. It's a fifteen-minute drive to downtown Calistoga and twenty minutes to the first tasting rooms on Silverado Trail.
Request a room with a balcony for the best sunset views over the vineyards, and consider visiting during the weekdays for a quieter experience. The spa tends to book up quickly, so scheduling treatments ahead of time is recommended to secure your preferred times.
