The Setting
The patio faces directly toward the Mayacamas mountains with rows of State Lane Estate Vineyard running up to meet your sightline. Tables sit outdoors when weather allows, close enough to their small production facility that this feels more like a working farm than a formal hospitality venue. Goosecross operates by appointment only in a rural pocket east of downtown Yountville, which keeps visits quiet and unhurried.
The Tasting Experience
The Signature Wine Tasting runs $50 and moves through their portfolio outdoors, while the Matinee Signature drops to $30 for visits before noon Sunday through Thursday. Both pour on that same patio overlooking estate vineyards, with staff who tend to explain the farming behind each wine rather than just tasting notes. Their State Lane Estate Tasting costs $100 and digs into four micro-lots from specific blocks, each sustainably farmed and fermented separately to show what a few hundred feet of dirt can change.
