The Setting
Silverado Vineyards sits at 6121 Silverado Trail with direct views across to the Stags Leap palisades that define this appellation. The tasting salon opens onto those cliffs, the same rock face that gives the district its name. Tastings happen at tables where hosts pour while guests look out at the vineyards that produced what's in the glass.
The Tasting Experience
A Taste of Silverado runs $50 for three estate wines poured in the salon with a host who talks through vineyard sources. The Silverado Experience at $85 adds more small-production bottlings with table-side service. For white wine drinkers, the White Wine and Caviar Experience pairs chef-selected caviar with house-made potato chips and a flight of estate whites for $115.
