Pedroncelli has been family-owned since 1927 and still pours Zinfandel from the original 25 acres.
Pedroncelli Winery has been a family-owned establishment in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley since 1927, known for its commitment to crafting exceptional wines with a focus on sustainability. The winery has a rich history, having survived Prohibition by selling grapes to home winemakers, and has evolved through generations while maintaining a dedication to quality and affordability. Visitors can enjoy a taste of their heritage and the beautiful vineyard landscape that has been nurtured by the Pedroncelli family for nearly a century.
Giovanni and Julia Pedroncelli bought this hillside property west of Geyserville in 1927 with 25 acres of Zinfandel already planted, and the family still farms those vines today. Nearly a century later, their commitment to affordability and sustainability means guests can taste certified sustainable wines without the premium price tag.

Pedroncelli's tasting room occupies a former winery building that Giovanni converted from a barn after Prohibition ended. The hillside property overlooks Dry Creek Valley with the original Zinfandel block visible from where visitors sit. Inside, photos and artifacts trace four generations of the Pedroncelli family working this same land since 1927. Operations Manager Mitch Blakely, fourth generation, often walks guests through how spring bottling and barrel work change the energy of the cellar.

Guests choose between the Classic Tasting at $25, a Reserve Tasting at $35, or a White Wine Tasting also at $25, all seated and unhurried. Hosts pour wines from certified sustainable vineyards and often mention how the family survived Prohibition by selling grapes to home winemakers. The tone is relaxed and direct—this is a working winery where the focus stays on what's poured, not pageantry.
