HotelOlea Hotel
Guest rooms at Olea Hotel open to private terraces facing Sonoma Valley vineyards.

The Swiss Hotel has five rooms, each opening onto a shared balcony that looks straight down at Sonoma Plaza—on Saturday mornings, you're watching the farmers' market set up from bed. You're also sleeping above one of the busiest restaurants in town, which means you can walk downstairs in the evening without a reservation and still have a shot at a table.
Mornings start with whatever coffee you've brought or picked up—the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, but the plaza is surrounded by cafés. Evenings, the restaurant serves wood-fired pizzas like the crispy pancetta and cambozola with grilled pears, plus wood oven baked meatballs with marinara and parmigiano-reggiano. The bar fills up most nights, and the patio tables go first when the weather's good.

The building sits on the northwest corner of Sonoma Plaza, with second-floor balconies running the length of the façade and views of the square below. Downstairs, the restaurant opens onto a patio facing the plaza, and inside there's a historic bar, a dining room, and a cellar room used for private events. The five guest rooms are all upstairs, accessed by a staircase from the lobby.

The Swiss Hotel offers a variety of dining options including a historic bar, dining room, and patio dining. Guests can enjoy a diverse menu featuring starters, salads, wood-fired pizzas, entrees, and desserts, all crafted with fresh ingredients.
Request a room with a balcony for an ideal view of the plaza, especially during the vibrant Saturday farmers' market. It’s recommended to make dinner reservations, particularly on weekends when the restaurant fills up quickly with both locals and visitors. Don’t miss the chance to try the signature Glarifee cocktail during your stay.
