A 120-year-old Sonoma producer where antique redwood tanks still stand in the barrel room.
Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery has been a pioneering producer of Sonoma County wine for 120 years, known for its commitment to quality and terroir. Since Bill Foley's acquisition in 2008, the winery has focused on producing world-class wines by decreasing production and enhancing vineyard management, resulting in more concentrated and complex offerings. Visitors can enjoy a historic winery experience with antique redwood tanks and original winemaking tools, along with tours and tastings in a beautiful setting.
Cherryblock Cabernet Sauvignon has earned critical acclaim across multiple vintages, and you can taste them side by side in a vertical flight at $140. Under Bill Foley's ownership since 2008, Sebastiani shifted from volume to concentration, cutting production to focus on vineyard quality—a strategy you'll taste in every pour.

Sebastiani sits at 389 4th Street East in downtown Sonoma, housed in a building with Tuscan architectural details and a barrel room that preserves original winemaking tools alongside towering antique redwood tanks. These aren't replicas or decorative pieces—they're the actual vessels that stored early vintages from one of Sonoma County's oldest continuously operating wineries. You can see the hand-carved cooperage marks and iron banding that date back decades, a physical record of more than a century in this valley.

At $40, Sebastiani Wine Tasting pours five wines from distinct Sonoma County appellations, held seated indoors. For $60, Reserve Wine Tasting narrows focus to premier bottlings with detailed varietal and winemaking discussion led by a Wine Ambassador. Cherryblock Cabernet Vertical Tasting at $140 walks you through multiple years of their flagship Cherryblock Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, anchored in stories about both the vineyard and 120 years of family winemaking history.
