Merryvale Vineyards: Where Napa Valley wines meet European craftsmanship.
Last verified: March 2026
Merryvale Vineyards is renowned for its powerful and concentrated Napa Valley wines, crafted with a European sensibility by founders René and Laurence Schlatter. The winery emphasizes sustainable farming and meticulous winemaking practices, allowing their Cabernet Sauvignons to age gracefully before release, which enhances their personality and elegance. Visitors can expect a unique experience that reflects the rich heritage and artistry of winemaking in Napa Valley.

A private tasting of our flagship wine at its source, our Profile estate. Perched in the steep hillsides east of St. Helena 800 feet above the valley floor, this gem of a vineyard features an array of elevations, exposures and soils that give this single-vineyard wine its stunning complexity and distinctive personality. The deck at the estate offers vista views of Napa Valley and is where you’ll enjoy a vertical tasting of Profile and picnic lunch, followed by a guided walking tour of this iconic site.
Learn how to analyze and identify wine with your senses rather than a wine label. After covering some of the core concepts of winemaking, terroir and regions and their roles in wine, your guide will lead you through a blind tasting of both red and white wines to learn to identify colors, aromas and flavors and what each tells you about that wine. This session is designed to be approachable for wine lovers while offering a challenge to enthusiasts.
Members enjoy a complimentary wine tasting of both current-release wines and wine club-only selections, paired with artisanal cheese selections.
