The Setting
The Home Ranch sits at 200 Taplin Road, where the Collector's Private Tastings take place in a separate building from the main visitor area. Vineyards frame the property on multiple sides, with rows running right up to the tasting pavilion where most appointments happen. The estate grows fruit for both Napa Valley bottlings and wines from the Freestone Vineyards on the Sonoma Coast.
The Tasting Experience
A Wine Educator leads the Founder's Tasting ($120), pouring current releases from both regions along with Insignia. The $210 Collector's Communal Tasting lets guests work with the estate team to build their own flight from available bottlings. For $350, Taste of Place pairs seasonal ingredients with the wines, turning the visit into a food-and-wine session rather than a straight tasting.
