The Setting
A wrap-around veranda overlooks gardens and vineyard rows, and that's where guests settle in for tastings. The St. Helena property is currently under renovation, so Duckhorn welcomes visitors at the Duckhorn Collection space at Paraduxx on Silverado Trail in Napa. The original estate will reopen after the work is complete, but for now the wines pour at a sister site ten miles south.
The Tasting Experience
The 50th Anniversary Portfolio Tasting ($65) spans five wines and highlights the range Duckhorn produces across red and white varieties. Guests taste on the veranda with views out to the vineyards, and the pours include estate-grown Merlot and Cabernet alongside white wines from Napa Valley fruit. Staff walk through the history of Duckhorn's role in elevating Merlot and explain how the estate vineyards shape each wine.
