The Setting
The Back Porch at Robert Biale Vineyards looks out over Oak Knoll District vineyards, where some vines have grown for more than a century. Guests sit at tables with sightlines across the valley floor, the same land Aldo Biale farmed when he began making wine in the 1940s. The porch serves as both seating area and a direct view into the family's farming roots, with old vines visible from the deck.
The Tasting Experience
The Valley Vista Experience ($50) takes place on the Back Porch, where hosts pour through a lineup of Zinfandels and Petite Sirahs while talking about the family's farming history. The Estate Experience ($85) includes a walk through the vineyards in the morning, where staff explain the farming practices used to maintain old vines and what that means for wines like Black Chicken Zinfandel. Both tastings are seated and focus on the connection between the vines outside and what gets poured.
