A three-story 19th-century-style estate where the Vineyard King Suite patio sits steps from Oak Knoll vines.

Jay Corley founded this family-owned estate in 1970 with vineyards across three Napa Valley appellations.
Monticello Vineyards, founded by Jay Corley in 1970, is a family-owned winery that has remained dedicated to crafting exceptional wines for over five decades. With vineyards spanning the Napa Valley, Monticello captures the unique characteristics of each location, producing award-winning, estate-grown wines that reflect the region's diverse soils and microclimates. The winery's commitment to meticulous winemaking practices ensures that every bottle embodies the Corley family's passion for quality and tradition.
The CORLEY Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting pours a horizontal of 2013 single-vineyard Cabernets from Yountville, Rutherford, and St Helena side-by-side, finishing with the Reserve bottling. It's a rare chance to taste how three appellations shape the same varietal in one vintage, all from estate fruit the Corley family has farmed for five decades.

The Jefferson House anchors the property, a nod to the winery's namesake president and the Corley family's Virginia roots. Tastings unfold either inside its wood-paneled rooms or outside in the Winery Gardens, where rows of vines press close to the patio. The Oak Knoll District location means warm afternoons cooled by San Pablo Bay breezes, and the estate vineyards begin just steps from where guests sit.

Hosts pour seated flights in the Jefferson House or outdoors under the gardens' canopy, depending on the day. The Estate Tasting ($35) includes five wines; the Reserve Tasting ($45) steps up to CORLEY single-vineyard and reserve bottlings. For $55, the Library Tasting runs vertically through CORLEY Proprietary Red blends, with the 2007 10th Anniversary bottling anchoring the flight. Vintner for a Day ($100) adds a vineyard walk, a stop at the crush pad, and a hands-on blending session.
