The Setting
The Underground Cellar sits beneath the St. Helena property, a barrel room constructed when Louis Martini opened the winery post-Prohibition. Above ground, the recently restored main building houses the tasting spaces where guests sample from the Crown Collection and standard flight lineup. Monte Rosso Vineyard, purchased by Martini in 1936, anchors the estate's vineyard holdings and still supplies fruit for the Cabernet program today.
The Tasting Experience
The Taste of Martini Flight runs $55 and pours through current Napa Valley releases plus small-lot wines exclusive to the tasting room. Crown Collection Pairing guests at $80 compare vineyard-designate Cabernets with an optional culinary component curated by the executive team. Winemaker Zach Watkins has reintroduced The Gryphon, a Cabernet modeled after the varietal character of Martini's 1960s and 1970s bottlings.
