InnThe Cottages of Napa Valley
Nine standalone cottages in the Oak Knoll District, each with its own patio and wood-burning fireplace.

Laird Family Estate reserves 3% of its 2,000-acre Napa Valley vineyard holdings for its own label.
Laird Family Estate has a rich history in the wine industry, with over 50 years of experience in grape growing and winemaking. Established in 1999, the estate focuses on producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique characteristics of their Napa Valley and Carneros vineyards. With a commitment to meticulous farming and traditional family values, Laird Family Estate offers a distinctive wine experience that showcases the essence of the land.
Big Red's Flight pours five reds from easy-drinking Merlot to the flagship single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, a progression that shows what Laird does with the small fraction of grapes it doesn't sell to other premium wineries. For visitors curious about Oak Knoll fruit character, it's a direct line into how one of the valley's largest farming families farms for itself.

Laird Family Estate sits at 5055 Solano Avenue in the Oak Knoll District, open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The custom crush facility shares the property, a reminder that this is a working operation first and tasting room second. Reservations are required, and the physical space reflects the family's nearly 50 years of grape-growing infrastructure rather than showroom polish.

Veraison Flight ($50) pours five wines from light-bodied white to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, while Big Red's Flight ($60) runs Merlot through the single-vineyard Cabernet. Bottle Service ($65 per person for groups of nine to twelve) lets larger parties settle in with a bottle. A Winery Tour & Tasting ($125) walks guests through the crush facility, where Laird processes fruit for custom clients alongside its own production.
