A 14th-century Tuscan castle replica in Calistoga pours Italian-style wines.
Castello di Amorosa is a unique winery designed as a 14th-century Tuscan castle, offering visitors an authentic Italian experience in the heart of Napa Valley. Known for its commitment to traditional winemaking techniques, the winery produces a range of hand-crafted wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, while emphasizing the importance of terroir and minimal intervention in the winemaking process. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, tastings, and food pairings in a stunning setting that reflects the rich history and culture of Tuscany.
The Diamond Estate Tour & Wine Tasting ($75) takes visitors through the Chapel, Knights Hall, and Great Hall across two upper levels of the castle structure. It's the kind of winery visit where architecture and winemaking tradition share equal billing, with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon poured in rooms modeled after medieval Tuscany.

The Castello di Amorosa structure features a Knights Hall and a Chapel, both part of the two upper levels guests walk through during tours. Stone walls, medieval-inspired interiors, and Italian architectural details dominate the space. The building itself is the main event—designed to replicate a Tuscan fortress, it houses both the production facility and tasting spaces within its walls.

The Adult Seated Reserve Tasting ($60) and Adult Standing Reserve Tasting ($45) both let visitors choose five wines from Reserve and Current-Release selections, with the option to try the Libero non-alcoholic flight. The Cheese & Charcuterie Wine Pairing Tour ($115) pairs Italian-style wines with local cheeses and cured meats after a guided walk through the castle. For Cabernet enthusiasts, Cabernet Is King ($175) includes a private tour, tasting, and food pairings led by one of the winery's most experienced educators.
