Winemaker Katy Wilson, VinePair's 2025 NextWave Winemaker of the Year, crafts Rhône varietals and Pinot Noir.
Anaba Wines is dedicated to crafting exceptional wines with a commitment to sustainability and community. Founded by John Sweazey, the winery has a rich history that began with a dream inspired by French wine country. Anaba is known for its innovative use of renewable energy and meticulous vineyard practices that celebrate the unique terroir of Sonoma County.
Katy Wilson just earned VinePair's 2025 NextWave Winemaker of the Year, a national honor that recognizes her work on Anaba's portfolio of Rhône-focused wines and single-vineyard Pinots. Visitors can taste that range in flights like Pinnacle of Pinot ($65), which pours her highly-rated bottlings sourced from long-term grower partnerships across Sonoma County.

A private pickleball court sits above Anaba's Picpoul Blanc vineyard, a rare setup in Carneros. The Vintners House anchors tastings, while a bocce court and wood-fired pizza station occupy the patio. Founder John Sweazey's commitment to renewable energy runs through daily operations, though guests mostly notice the edible side: Estate Chef Maria Lynn designs Weekend Brunch Boards (available Saturdays and Sundays) stacked with fried chicken, waffles, frittata, and house-baked goods.

Pinnacle of Pinot ($65) lines up single-vineyard Pinot Noirs side-by-side, each tied to a specific Sonoma grower relationship. Behind the Scenes Winery Tour & Tasting ($75) starts with a splash pour at the Vintners House, then walks visitors through daily cellar work on the estate. For groups who'd rather play than sit, Pizza, Pinot, & Bocce ($125) pairs wood-fired pies and seasonal salad with Pinot Noir pours between bocce rounds.
