A Norman-style castle stands between Kenwood and Glen Ellen on Highway 12.
Ledson Winery & Vineyards, known for its stunning castle-like architecture, offers a unique blend of rich history and exceptional winemaking. Founded by the Ledson family, who have been farming in Sonoma Valley for generations, the winery is celebrated for its handcrafted wines and picturesque vineyard views. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tasting experiences while immersing themselves in the legacy of the Ledson family and their commitment to quality.
Ledson's Classic Wine Tasting takes place in rooms named for Steve Ledson's father Noble and uncles Winslow and Whitby. It's a standing pour of five wines for $45, while the Seated Wine Tasting offers the same format in designed rooms for $65, giving visitors flexibility to choose their own pacing.

The castle rises directly from the vineyard edge, its turrets and stone façade visible from Highway 12 as a landmark between Kenwood and Glen Ellen. Inside, multiple tasting rooms offer different moods: some named after the Ledson brothers, others configured for seated service. The structure itself dominates the landscape, built with a Gothic château silhouette that doesn't pretend to be anything but theatrical.

The Classic Wine Tasting ($45) is a standing pour in one of the rooms dedicated to Noble, Winslow, or Whitby Ledson; five wines, casual pacing. For seated service in a different room, the Seated Wine Tasting runs $65 for the same number of pours. The Private Wine Tasting ($95) moves guests into a separate suite for five bottles priced between $68 and $150. Reserved Table ($30) lets groups settle in and manage their own tempo.
