Five generations of Larsons farm 100 certified organic acres once used for rodeos.
Larson Family Winery, located in the heart of Sonoma Valley's Carneros region, has a rich history that began as a dairy farm and transitioned into a rodeo venue before planting its first vineyard in 1978. With five generations of the Larson family involved in the winery, they focus on sustainable and organic farming across 100 acres, producing 5,000 cases of wine annually that are sold exclusively at the winery and online. Their mission is to create memorable experiences for visitors, making it a welcoming destination for families and dog lovers alike.
The Glider Tasting Experience puts you in a handmade wooden glider for 90 minutes, padded and shaded, as a host pours your choice of two tasting flights. Regulation bocce, cornhole in the pasture, and cabanas for eight all make this one of Sonoma's most family-friendly working vineyards, where kids roam and dogs tag along.

A dairy farm turned rodeo venue planted vines in 1978, and the back pad overlooks those original vineyard blocks with sightlines stretching into both Napa and Sonoma valleys. Outdoor tables, a padded glider at the edge of the bocce court, and lawn seating under cabanas spread across the property. Dogs wander, kids play, and all 5,000 cases produced annually stay here or ship direct—none leave for distribution.

Hosts pour at outdoor tables, in a glider, or in cabanas that seat up to eight for 90-minute reservations. The Daily Flight runs $35, the Reserve Flight $45, and each tasting option—Glider, Cabana, Bocce & Glider, Cornhole in the Pasture—prices at $40 to $50 depending on the setup. Guests bring picnic food, and hosts pour wines farmed organically on the estate, talking through what grew where.
