Winemaker Kale Anderson works with ultra-premium fruit from five named Middle Reach vineyards.
Domaine de la Rivière is a family-owned winery located in the Middle Reach of the Russian River Valley, dedicated to crafting limited production wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Established in 2011, the winery focuses on producing high-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé, utilizing ultra-premium grapes that benefit from the area's ideal growing conditions of fog and sun. Their commitment to artisanal winemaking and personal connections to the land and community make each bottle a story worth sharing.
Domaine de la Rivière released its first wines in 2018 after completing harvest in August 2017, making it one of Windsor's newer boutique producers. Owners Marla and Geoffrey Bedrosian focus exclusively on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé sourced from a narrow stretch between southern Healdsburg and Forestville where fog and sun create extended growing seasons.

The winery sits at 6157 Starr Road in Windsor, planted along the banks of the Russian River in what's known as the Middle Reach. This north-south corridor benefits from cooler marine influence than vineyards farther inland. Fruit comes from five specific sites: Vineyard Eleven, Ritchie Vineyard, El Diablo Vineyard, Lone Oak Vineyard, and Flora Marie Vineyard, each contributing distinct character to the limited-production bottlings.

Visits happen by appointment only, arranged directly with the family. Tastings are intimate and personal, often with Marla or Geoffrey pouring, sharing stories about their 2011 founding and their relationships with the growers who supply their fruit. Expect to taste through their three-wine lineup—Rosé of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir—with detailed explanations of how each vineyard site shaped what's in the bottle.
