Founded in 1999 by the Ceja family, who went from vineyard workers to winery owners.
Ceja Vineyards is a family-owned winery founded in 1999 by first-generation Mexican-American vintners who transitioned from vineyard workers to winery owners in Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The winery is dedicated to crafting beautifully balanced wines that pair well with world cuisine, particularly authentic Mexican dishes, reflecting the family's rich heritage and commitment to quality winemaking.
The Ceja Wine Tasting Experience focuses on five wines paired with the family's story of moving from immigrant vineyard workers to first-generation Mexican-American vintners in one generation. Brothers Pedro and Armando founded the winery with Amelia and Martha, and their heritage shapes every wine—crafted specifically to pair with world cuisine including authentic Mexican dishes.

The Sonoma tasting room sits at 22989 Burndale Road in the Carneros region, open Fridays through Sundays with last seating at 2:30 p.m. Carneros straddles Napa and Sonoma counties, and the Cejas farm estate vineyards in both valleys. Reservations are required, and the space centers on conversation about heritage as much as terroir.

The Ceja Wine Tasting Experience runs $40 and pours a minimum of five wines that may include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, or Vino de Casa Red blend. Staff walks guests through what makes Carneros a premier grape-growing region and how the family transitioned from working other people's vineyards to farming their own Napa and Sonoma estate fruit. The focus is on balance—wines built to pair with food rather than stand alone.
