The Setting
The Ranch House sits at the center of Benziger's Sonoma Mountain property, surrounded by 85 acres of vines that climb the hillsides in concentric terraces. A vintage tractor tram departs from near the parking area, rumbling uphill past rows of estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Inside, large windows look directly onto the vineyard rows, and outdoor seating wraps around the building under oak shade.
The Tasting Experience
Taste of the Estate ($45) pairs five Biodynamic wines with estate olive oil, French bread, Marcona almonds, and local cheeses at tables inside the Ranch House. The Reserve Seated Tasting ($35) pours five small-production estate wines with a Wine Specialist who explains the farm's shift to Biodynamic certification. Walk-ins head to the casual Tasting Room for the $25 Wine Tasting, where winery-exclusive organic and sustainable wines are poured without reservation.
