The Setting
Mount Veeder sits high enough that the vineyards and old stone winery at 1155 Lokoya Road look out over much of Napa Valley. The downtown location at 1256 First Street offers a walk-in alternative six days a week, closed Tuesdays. Both spaces pour wines from a single estate that has been farmed continuously since before the turn of the last century.
The Tasting Experience
The Estate Tasting runs $135 to $165 per person and includes a visit to the mountaintop property itself. The Downtown Tasting is $35 per person and allows walk-ins most days. Both options focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Merlot produced using techniques that have changed very little since the 1950s.
