For over a century, five generations of the Kunde family have farmed our 1,850-acre estate in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Our winemaking mission is to carry on that tradition by crafting elegant, estate-grown, sustainably-farmed wines with a real sense of place—beautifully balanced and expressive of our dramatic vineyard landscape.
The Mountain Top Tour & Tasting at Kunde Family Winery offers breathtaking views that transform each sip into an unforgettable experience. Imagine standing on a deck 1,400 feet above Sonoma Valley, surrounded by the gentle breeze as you taste small-production wines paired with local artisan cheeses. The moment you take your first sip, the scenery and flavors meld into a 'wow' that’s hard to shake off.

A standout feature of Kunde Family Winery is the stunning tasting deck perched atop a volcanic hillside, providing a panoramic view of the sprawling Sonoma Valley below. The estate itself sprawls across 1,850 acres, with vineyards dotted among ancient oaks and carefully tended gardens that invite exploration. This picturesque setting harmonizes with the winery's commitment to sustainable farming, making it a true reflection of the land.

Tastings at Kunde are a blend of education and enjoyment, particularly during the intimate Cave Tasting experience. Here, guests are enveloped by the cool atmosphere of the caves, creating an almost reverent space for savoring library and reserve wines. With thoughtfully paired cheese and charcuterie, each wine reveals its story, enhanced by the unique ambiance of being surrounded by ancient rock. The kinship with the land is palpable, and the flavor profiles come alive as you sip, creating lasting memories.
